My coffee station

Today I want to share my coffee station setup. My daily journal showed me a photo from five years ago, and it reminded me to write about this part of my morning routine.

Disclaimer: I’m a simple man and I have nothing against the typical Polish “parzucha”. You pour hot water straight over finely ground coffee in a cup or glass and let the grounds settle at the bottom. No filter, no machine.

I’ve met too many coffee freaks over the years, and since I like trying different things, I started experimenting with alternative brewing methods. Like I said, I’m a simple man, so after years of trying I ended up with a V60 pour-over. It fits in a corner of my office and takes a few minutes to make a cup.

After some time, I realized I was running out of space on my desk and needed to move the printer somewhere. It turned out to be a great opportunity to change something in the layout and introduce a fancier solution. Fancy in my case means a… drawer which contains all the things I need to brew my morning coffee.

Hardware

Here is the list of hardware I use for my coffee station:

V60 dripper: Hario Kasuya V60-02

Gooseneck kettle: Stagg EKG Electric Kettle

Coffee grinder: Wilfa Svart CGWS-130B

Scale: Timemore Black Mirror Basic

Coffee server: V60 Coffee Server, 02 Size

I’m happy with all of them except the grinder. I’ve already had it replaced once, and the new one still has issues, for example it stops at random during grinding.

That’s it. Now you know what keeps me going through the day!
Enjoy your coffee! ☕️
