A lot happened this year: I found a job, got back to full-time coding, kept running, read a ton of Jack Reacher, built some furniture, and even upgraded my battlestation. Most importantly, I feel calmer and more grateful, especially after watching my friend’s journey turn from tears of sadness into tears of joy.
Bullets #22 | Early Autumn update
Early autumn catch-up: health! a walk in the woods, work shuffle, local races, football dad, cabinets, startup grind, and a dash of ASOT nostalgia.
Bullets #21 | Vim nostalgia, Tour de France, and a mud kitchen
A return to (Neo)Vim, thoughts on the Tour de France 2025, and a family woodworking project.
Bullets #20 | I’ve got a job and a refactored battlestation
I’m back to being an engineer, so I refactored my battlestation. I also have some thoughts after getting back to work after a long break.
Conversations
I had a conversation with my Mum. It was cool enough to write about it. Expect some nostalgia.
Bullets #19 | Green nature and blue cars
Spring is in full swing! My red car is damaged, but… I saw a lot of blue ones at the car show!
Bullets #18 | March 2025
It’s been a few months since the last edition of “Bullets” came out in October ‘24, so let’s fix it ASAP!
My kind of person!
This is a post dedicated to all the people I consider “my kind of person” – those who share my values and make life a little brighter. If you’re nodding your head while reading this, you’re probably one of them!
Why do we feel the need to fake it?
I have an issue when I see something fake or unauthentic, especially when it comes to people who either fool or BS me or others.
What triggered me to write this post was one person in my network, who was a regular poster and a very active member. One day, I saw a post from them that said something like: “The most satisfying thing about starting a new job is logging out of LinkedIn and feeling grateful that you don’t have to check it for a while.” They also disabled comments.
Famous or seen?
The other day, a friend of mine shared an exciting moment—they received a ♡ from a very famous person on Twitter/X. Given their current follower count and reach, this was quite a thing! It made him proud to be noticed by someone he “follows” (someone I respect too, for that matter).
And honestly, it made me happy as well! I hold my friend, and their contributions, in such high regard – so such recognition shouldn’t come as surprise:)
