Discovering ‘The Sound Of 007’ reaffirmed my love for Bond movies, specifically the music. Also, I’m sharing my favorite Bond songs.

Rose Backroad 2023 - first impressions
I’m describing my new bike, Rose Backroad and my first impressions.
Enjoying the Process
During my holiday, I found fulfillment in various activities like coding, woodworking, gardening, and housework. What I learned is that the most rewarding moments are when I fully immerse myself in the task, enjoying the process without fixating on the end result.
Nice is shady
Let’s talk about conflict, harmony, and a little something I’d like to call, the “Openness Gauge”. I’m rediscovering psychological safety.
Ted Lasso
It was supposed to be a comedy, a moment when I could turn my brain off for a bit and enjoy some easy TV. However, it turned out to be so much more. What surprised me the most was the amount of tears I shed while watching this show.
Social Media
I reflect on my social media journey from Facebook, via Instagram, Twitter to LinkedIn, and my eventual retreat from these platforms. I share my vision for a more personal and less intrusive social media experience, and how I find value in platforms like Mastodon and my personal blog.
April Was Quiet
but I still have a lot to say about it, so let’s try to tear the April apart and see what happened!
March Was Tough
After quite successful and productive February, March decided to be a bit more challenging. I had some issues on all fronts, but still managed to discover and experience a few interesting things.
Sharing is enabling
Found someone who articulated my thoughts on sharing and social media better than I could.
You probably shouldn’t be worried about an audience at all. Write. Paint. Draw. Create. Put it out into the world and let it go. Maybe it will change the world. Maybe it might change the mind of a single person. Perhaps after all your effort it won’t be noticed at all.
All of that isn’t as important as creating.
Since the beginning of the year, I feel like I’m discovering the Internet once again and I’m enjoying the journey. RSS, Mastodon, open APIs, discovering new people and their work… all of this is very rewarding.
The internet should be about exploring and novelty. When I was younger, I remember the thrill at finding a new author at the library or a book store. For a short time, the internet was like that as well. I am on Mastodon not because I want to “build my brand” or “expand my audience” but because there are so many people in the world that are smart, funny, and creative, and I want to see what they have done
Heh, the more I write here, the more I want to learn CSS 🙈.
February Summary
Another month has passed and it’s time to summarize it.
- We had a little holiday in Kraków with the family. Hard to call it a regeneration but still, it was nice to spend some time together. We had a nice whether, including -10°C during the day. Highlights: Wieliczka, Wawel, Muzeum Iluzji, Pałac Krzysztofory, Wesoła Cafe, AleKlocki.
- During the Kraków visit, I had a chance to experience the BMW 3 series for the first time in the 370+HP version and explore the city with my guide D. - thanks a lot for the opportunity! It was great! The most important insight for me was that I don’t really need a full M version of the car, the one I tested is more than enough!
- I spent a lot of time digging through BMW configurator, it seems that cars still make an impression on me.
- February was not impressive in terms of bike trips, just 3 of them. I hope that my issues with the tires are gone and I won’t have to spend most of the ride pumping them up.
- February marks my 4th month in a row when I closed all the activity rings on my Apple Watch!
- At work things were good but INTENSIVE, the highlight was a workshop we had in a bigger group in Poznań! First of all we closed some important topic, but there was also a lot of fun and a lot of learning! I also started in a new role – exciting things ahead of us!
- I had my first experience as a host with Disruption Talks format, it was fun!
- FlexiSpot surprised me when I reached out to them and they agreed to send me a new desk top for free (I had a small issue with the previous one).
- Something triggered me to improve my backup game. I decided to leverage the power of my Synology and backup all the photos from all the phones at home to Synology (even though I use the big iCloud package). Just in case. Apart from that, I did some changes to running Docker containers on NAS and I’m using it more and more for things other than just a file storage.
- I’m glad that my home is running almost entirely on Apple devices, just a few things left for migration. Not that I don’t like other brands, but it’s easier to have everything in one ecosystem.
- Health is good!
- I felt urge to learn CSS from scratch, hopefully I will find some time for it.
- I wrote 5 posts on my blog! That’s more than in 3 last years combined!
